Bangladesh
Orphanage the Soapbox team in Bangladesh may work in
We will be supporting the work of David and Alice Campbell who sold their home in England and moved to Bangladesh.
They established The Bangladesh Mission U.K. a small Christian organisation with a burden and vision to reach the lost of that country through the preaching of the Christian Gospel but also through practical help and assistance.  They are very much an inter-denominational organisation, are Evangelical in their emphasis and uphold the Bible as the Inspired Word of GOD.  Their mission statement is "Sharing Christ by serving people" and their vision is "Helping to change lives in Bangladesh everyday". Their ministry currently has three main thrusts:
  1. Health. They run three mobile clinics in outlying areas of the country but would like a small permanent building constructed in an area that has no medical facilities.

  2. Children. They run two orphanages, one in the north of the country and one in the capital Dhaka, both of which need a lot of work on them to make them habitable.

  3. Bible Training. They plan to open a small Bible training institute in a building they have in Dhaka but it needs lots of work on it first.

The team that will go out in 2012 will be working on the orphanage in Dhaka, undertaking the construction of additional sleeping accommodation for children. There will also be opportunity to take part in activities with the children and to see some of this fascinating country. You will meet some of the loveliest people on the planet!
