Kosova
Soapbox team proudly showing off their hen house handy work
Kosova is a country that experienced great turmoil in the 90’s and the people are desperately trying to rebuild their shattered lives.

Kosova has recently become independent. However, there are still many issues that need resolving, poverty being one of the main problems. We will be supporting the work of Ernie and Suzy Penner, a missionary couple who have been working in Vushtrri since 2000. They are involved in many community projects as they help the people try and rebuild their lives after the civil war. The project they would like us to help with is the building of hen houses which are then given to families, along with ten hens, to enable them to begin to earn an income.

This is a hugely popular project in Vushtrri and many people are waiting for a hen house to help them escape the poverty trap.

We will also be involved in other projects the Penner's run such as a local school. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet and spend time with the lovely people of Vushtrri Kosova and to see some of this beautiful country.
