Malawi
Team members taking a moment from the building project

In the village of Salima, ten miles from beautiful Lake Malawi, there is one school for all the children that live there. The school is falling down and unfinished. The SoapBox team would primarily be assisting in maintenance and building work.

Project Starfish has a vision to change this situation for the children and this village. By providing them with a safe and secure school, they will be able to give these children a better opportunity to learn. By building a school on a site where there is also arable land will also make it more financially viable for a teacher to teach. By being able to work the land they can achieve an extra income and provide a hot meal for each child that comes to school (the main motivation of most Malawian parents in sending children to school, who would otherwise be more useful working.)

FREE TIME:
Visit Lake Malawi. A Safari to a game reserve where you will see wild animals in their natural habitat. An experience of a lifetime.

ACTIVITIES:
