SoapBox specialises in a servant holiday model, taking teams on short term practical aid projects to some of the poorest areas of the world. We are a Christian organisation but do not proselytise and we are not sectarian. We believe in earthing our faith by demonstrating God's love through practical, caring action. SoapBox currently operates 1, 2, 3 and 4 week projects in Malawi, Tanzania, Brazil, Romania, Kenya Kibera slum, Kenya Maasailand, Zambia, Kosova, Philippines, Bangladesh, India and Nepal. Currently we have projects running from March to November.
We operate the excellent SoapBox African Quest 6-month mission training and discipleship course. We assist other churches and groups who wish to take teams of their own on projects outside of SoapBox Projects by providing a logistics and/or orientation service.
We also operate a ChildCare project so that sponsors can support a child's education and welfare in many of the places that our short-term projects take place.
We offer a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure service as an umbrella body to groups, churches and other organisations.
We offer two level 2 training courses in Food Hygiene and Workplace Safety to churches and other organisations.
We support Rob Russell and Gillian Pegler in their prison ministries.
