SoapBox Children of Kibera Appeal, Short Term Overseas Projects, Church Project Support, Third World ChildCare, Prison Ministry

As predicted, the situation in Kenya will take months if not years to restore and we are keeping the fund open in an attempt to bring the lives of the children of the slum to some normality and continue to assure that vital supplies like food and water continue to be available to the vulnerable.

We have already sent some funds out to assist in all this but more is needed and we need your help to do it. If you would like to assist in this practical aid effort please send a cheque for any amount made payable to SoapBox to:

We Need Your Help Today!

Many of you will be aware of the problems besetting Kenya since the elections and you will have seen the scenes of violence and looting on your TV screens over the New Year in 2008.

In those early days we found out that the school in the Mashimoni district of the Kibera slum, which SoapBox supports, had been looted and the equipment used to prepare food for the children was stolen. We are continuing to ask for your help to get the school up and running again as over a year later there are still tremendous needs.
