SoapBox African Quest 6-month Mission Training and Christian Discipleship Course

Where is SAQ?

BEAUTIFUL ZAMBIA!

SoapBox African Quest is located within the grounds of the excellent Kaniki Bible College just outside of Ndola, Zambia.

Kaniki is one of the foremost Bible Colleges in Africa and trains pastors and other church workers from across the continent. The College is located within its own secure grounds and boasts excellent facilities for both academic, practical and leisure activities.

It is a residential college that has about 40 full time students at any one time. There are workshops, a football pitch and an excellent swimming pool that the Soapbox African Quest participants have access to.

The SoapBox African Quest building is located in the heart of the college campus and consists of two large dorm rooms, two apartments for leaders accommodation, a large lounge/dining area, kitchen and several smaller rooms. It is a large facility and has been purpose built for the SoapBox African Quest programme. It becomes a home from home for the SAQ participants. A haven where they can study, rest and play.

The Soapbox African Quest building has its own chef and resident housekeeper, Katherine. She looks after the meals for the team and is a great source of local knowledge.

Expeditions

Part of the experience of Soapbox African Quest are the off-site expeditions. Trips are planned that offer practical aid to local people and require the team to travel to some remote parts of Malawi and Zambia in the various vehicles that Soapbox Africa Quest has available. You will be amazed at the sights of Africa as you journey to these locations. These trips offer vital help to local people who will capture your heart as you serve them in their villages. In Malawi you will be offering support to a Pastor who oversees over 400 churches. This may involve children's ministry, acting out dramas, encouraging local people, giving talks and schools work amongst a variety of other opportunities to serve. Expeditions within Zambia will vary depending on location but are likely to involve practical building work (no experience necessary!). Teams remain flexible so they are able to cater to the needs of the local area at that given time.

It's not all work, however! There will be opportunity to go on safari drives in South Luangwa National Park, visit Victoria Falls, one of the seven wonders of the world. At Victoria Falls you can brave a bungi jump over the Zambezi, gorge swing, whitewater raft, go on a sunset cruise or just relax in the pool! (All these activities are voluntary and not compulsory, however they may be at an additional cost to the individual!)

You can register interest and receive a full colour brochure, DVD and application form by sending an email to Shaun Murphy aq@soapboxtrust.com
