SoapBox Children of Kibera Appeal

We Need Your Help Today!

Many of you will be aware of the problems besetting Kenya since the recent elections and you will have seen the scenes of violence and looting on your TV screens.

Over the last few days we found out that the school in the Mashimoni district of the Kibera slum, which SoapBox supports, has been looted and the equipment used to prepare food for the children has been stolen. We are asking for your help to get the school up and running again as soon as possible.

Furthermore, we are concerned that once the situation in Kenya is resolved, that it will take months to restore the lives of the children of the slum to some normality and that food and water will be in scarce supply.

We have already sent some funds out to assist in all this but more is needed and we need your help to do it. If you would like to assist in this practical aid effort please send a cheque for any amount made payable to SoapBox to:
